Gloria Bazira

Managing Partner

Gloria is the Managing Partner at Regenesys and one of its two founding partners.  She leads Regenesys towards achieving our strategic vision and ensuring business growth and operational excellence.

An Architect and Project Manager with FIDIC certification, she is adept at orchestrating seamless project delivery, fostering collaboration, navigating complex contractual frameworks, and driving successful outcomes

With over 24 years’ of hands-on experience in the Architecture and Construction sector, she has a keen eye for design detail, vast knowledge and expertise in architectural and construction

principles and processes, and the requisite project management techniques that foster effective delivery of innovative solutions that harmonize functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability in an efficient manner.

Her experience is fostered by previous experience at Peatfield and Bodgener Architects (2002-2010) where she got the opportunity to work on number of significant architectural and urban design projects most notably Urban Design and Master Planning scheme for the redevelopment of the defunct Nakawa and Naguru Estates, a master plan for a proposed 650 ha Residential Gated Community at Buziranjovu in Mukono District, an 82 Apartment Complex on Elizabeth Avenue in Kololo and Offices for Entebbe Handling Services (ENHAS) at Entebbe among others.

In 2010 she founded Nafasi Elegans ltd. known for its skilful, timely and sensitive approach to design. She was project manager and architect on numerous projects including Prototype warehouses for Uganda Commodities Exchange, Export and Regional Centre for Zhong Enterprises Ltd at Kibira Road and a 45 apartment complex in Butabika, for which she studied the feasibility of using the eco-friendly QEG Magnesium Oxide panels as walling.

Her most recent and notable assignments include being the ‘Engineer’ under FIDIC framework contract for National medical stores offices stores at Kajjansi, project manager and architect for the Proposed Office Block & Accredited Communications Equipment Testing Laboratory (ACETL) for Uganda Communications Commission at UICT, Nakawa, Project manager for the Cell and Gene Therapy Research and Care Centre for the Joint Clinical Research Centre, project manager and Architect for Netstudios Africa.

She has served the architectural fraternity as the Chairperson of the Board of Practice of the Uganda Society of Architects (USA) 2019-2021, Council Member East African institute of Architects (EAIA), and currently represents Uganda on the Ethics and Practice Commission (EPC) of the African Union of Architects. She is passionate about charity work, and served as board member for Habitat for Humanity Uganda 2003-2015.
